J. Chaz Peacock is a prodigy of Howie Alexander, who teaches at The African American Musical Institute. Born in 1982 in Houston, Texas. Chaz took up music while being deployed in Ramadi, Iraq. Throughout his childhood he followed his peers by devoting himself to sports. Although flourishing in basketball he realized that his passion would not satisfy his expectations. When Chaz returned from Iraq he decided to take lessons and pursue his new found passion, music. Now Chaz dedicates his time to creating a variety of music while trying to fuse unpopular music with his urban culture.
